About The Founder
Imperfection Inspires LLC was founded by Imelda Simon, who was deeply moved by the plight of at-risk youths and trafficking victims she encountered in her professional career as a Pediatric Nurse. Over the years, Imelda has witnessed the gaps in support systems for these vulnerable populations, particularly those aging out of the foster care system who often face homelessness and lack of resources. Her desire to make a meaningful difference led to the establishment of Imperfection Inspires LLC, with a focus on providing not only housing but also the holistic support needed to help these individuals transition to independent living.

The need for transitional housing for youths aging out of the foster care system is significant, with over 20,000 youths aging out of foster care each year in the United States. These youths face numerous challenges, including homelessness, unemployment, and mental health issues. Additionally, some of these individuals require specialized support to recover from trauma and rebuild their lives.
